Brad Mills is in his second year as manager of the Houston Astros. Even though the Astros have the worst record in the league, it appears Mills will be able to keep his job, at least until the ownership issue is settled.
In 1993 Mills was utility infielder for the Montreal Expos. That year the Expos played host to the All Star Game and fielded 5 players, including the speedy Tim Raines.
Raines was a key player on the division winning 1993 White Sox along with Bo Jackson who was just coming off hip replacement surgery.
In 1989 Bo crushed a homer in his only All Star appearance and won the MVP. His teammate on the Kansas City Royals, Bob Boone earned his 7th Gold Glove.
Boone earned his 1st Gold Glove in 1978 where he was teamed up with Jose Cardenal on the Philadephia Phillies.
Jose and his awesome afro were part of the 1972 Chicago Cubs team along with Ron Santo.
From Brad Mills to Ron Santo in 5 Degrees.
